Mando Secondary School gets 10 million cedis for good work

Ajumako (C/R), Mar 8, GNA- Mando Secondary Technical School in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam district was on Saturday given a cash award of 10 million cedis by the District Assembly and the Member of Parliament, Mr Isaac Edumadze for its good performance in the last Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) at Ajumako.

The Assembly presented the school with five million cedis, while Mr Isaac Edumadze, Central Regional Minister who is also the MP of the area, donated five million cedis.

The ceremony was climaxed the activities of the 47th independence anniversary attended by chiefs and people of the area including Nana Kwamena Hamma Ababio II, Chief of Ajumako Traditional Area.

The school came first in the district, placed 10th in the region and 95th in the overall national results of the SSSCE examination.

In a citation, which accompanied the award, Mr Kenneth Obempong, the District Chief Executive commended the school for its achievement and asked the students and school authorities not to be complacent but rather work harder to bring more laurels to the district.

Mr Obempong said the school has made the district proud and hoped other schools in the district would emulate their shinning example.
