Management of ‘Right To Play’ presents equipment to schools

Accra, April 1, GNA – Mrs Joyce Ashun, Country Manager of Right To Play, an NGO, has called on parents to take keen interest in the education of their children to become useful citizens in future. She said education played an important role in every sphere of human endeavour and without education there would be no mental and physical development.

Mrs Ashun made the call when presenting playing equipment worth GH¢3,600 to children of Burma Camp Central ‘A’ and ‘B’ Nursery Schools in Accra on Wednesday.

The equipment presented by the athlete-driven NGO that uses sport and play to teach children in deprived areas to develop their talents, included swings, slides and see-saw.

It has in addition renovated playing fields for the schools. Mrs Ashun was optimistic the equipment would motivate the children to enjoy their studies in school. Lieutenant Colonel Robert Adwini, Chief Garrison Education Officer receiving the equipment expressed appreciation to the management for the gesture. He said they would be well utilised for the benefit of the children.
