Man wins 3 bedroom house in ‘Cool Chop’ promotion

Vodafone Ghana has presented a three bedroom house in the exclusive Lakeside Marina Estate in Accra to Mr. Ofori Tanoh, the ultimate winner of the Vodafone ‘Cool Chop’ promotion.

At the house warming party for Mr. Ofori Tanoh, the other two top winners, Hamza Salifu and Welbeck Okaija were also presented with GHC 15,000 and GHC 10,000 for placing second and third positions respectively.

Mr. Ofori Tanoh, a 71 year old retired civil servant who was accompanied by his daughter could not hide his joy when he entered the softly furnished house.

“This house will be my gift to my only granddaughter who is a medical doctor. Three months ago when Vodafone launched this promotion, I said to myself this will be a ‘cool chop’ for me and so I aimed for the ultimate prize by consistently texting ‘Win’ to short code 4141. In addition to this house, I have also won several of their daily, weekly and monthly prizes including electronic devices, GHC5,000 and GHC50,000.”

Presenting the keys to the house, the Head of Consumer Marketing, Tara Squire, said Vodafone Ghana was excited to have changed the lives of subscribers like Mr. Ofori Tanoh and others. “Everyone aspires to buy a plot of land or better still own a house, and Vodafone Ghana has made such dreams a reality because we truly enjoy empowering our customers”.

The Vodafone Cool Chop promotion was an SMS campaign which run for 90 days. Thousands of subscribers won hourly, daily, weekly and monthly prizes which included free air time, electronic devices, Samsung LED TVs, smart phones, cash prizes ranging from GHC5,000 to 50,000, serviced plots of land at Lakeside Estates in Accra, a 2013 brand new Hyundai Santa-Fe SUV and the 3 bedroom house.
