Man wanted for allegedly murdering girlfriend

A warrant has been issued by an Accra Magistrate Court for the arrest of a 30-year-old man who allegedly murdered his girlfriend at Mamprobi in Accra.

The man, whose name has only been given as Derrick, was said to have murdered Lydia Damoah at her residence at Maprobi Akoshie Junction on September 18, 2017.

“He was last seen in a black trousers and sea blue long sleeve shirt, departing from the room of the deceased on the day of the incident. All efforts to locate him has proved futile,” a statement issued by the Police Monday said.

The Police say Derrick is believed to be hiding in and around Ablekuma in Greater Accra Region.

Derrick is dark in complexion, stands at five feet six inches tall (5ft, 6”) and hails from Kwae-Kade in the Eastern Region.

The Police have urged the public with information on Derrick’s whereabouts to contact the Mamprobi Police or any nearest Police station across the country.
