Man on the ran after murdering assemblyman

Nsawam, Sept. 9, GNA – The Nsawam Police are hunting for one Kwame Hene, 45, who allegedly killed the 52-year-old Assembly Member for Adoagyiri, Mr Anthony Saba. Police Chief Inspector Redeemer Kumah in-charge of Nsawam, told the Ghana News Agency that on August 28, there was a misunderstanding between Hene and the deceased that nearly degenerated into a fight. He said while Mr Saba was going home, Hene ambushed him and hit his back with a stick rendering him unconscious. Chief Inspector Kumah said the deceased was rushed to the Nsawam Government Hospital but died soon on arrival. He said the body had been deposited at the Police Hospital in Accra while the police had mounted a search for the culprit.
