Man kills 75-year-old Stepfather

Tarkwa (W/R), Oct. 17, GNA – A 22-years-old man, Kwabena Amponsah, allegedly killed his stepfather Kwasi Benema with a cutlass at Anyinase, near Tarkwa yesterday.

Amponsah used a cutlass to cut the right shoulder of Benema twice, the left knee and cut the stomach open, which let out the intestines. Speaking to GNA, a family member, Madam Asi Mansa said Amponsah, who was suffering from epilepsy had threatened to kill the stepfather on two occasions and carried out his intension the third time. She said Benema was in the bathroom, when Amponsah pounced on him with the cutlass.

After that, she said, Amponsah took to the street brandishing the cutlass and threatening to kill anybody, who would dare to come his way, but was overpowered by some men and sent him to the Tarkwa Police Station.

Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the Tarkwa Government Hospital.
