Man jailed four months for circulating nude pictures of girls

A Salaga Magistrate court in the Northern Region has sentenced a 21-year-old man to four months imprisonment with hard labour for circulating nude pictures of girls in public.

The suspect, Yusif Yunus, pleaded guilty to the crime in a court presided over by Justice David Serbean.

Addressing the media in Tamale, the Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DCOP, Ebernezer Tetteh said a memory card was found on Yunus upon a tip off by a good Samaritan in the area.

According to him, Yusif claimed to have picked the memory card, which contained naked pictures of young ladies from the ground on his way back home.

It will be recalled that a nurse at the Salaga Hospital, David Mubarak, was accused of sleeping with over sixteen young girls in the area, whilst secretly filming the acts and making them public.

One of the affected girls, according to the Police PRO, reported the ordeal to the Salaga police but the accused fled.
