Man in court for stealing car tape

Techiman, May 18, GNA – Fusani Kasim, a 22-year-old trader, has been remanded to re-appear on June 9 by a magistrate court at Techiman for stealing a car tape recorder.

Fusani pleaded not guilty on two counts of causing damage to a windscreen of a car and stealing a CD tape valued at 3.5 million cedis. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Comfort Adubea Nyamesah told the court that in February, the accused broke into Mr Emmanuel Kudom’s car, parked in his house, and stole the item.

In the process, Kasim damaged the side door of the car. On April 23 Kasim offered to sale the tape to a repairer but he alerted Mr Kudom who identified the tape as his, informed the police and Kasim was arrested.
