Man held for ‘recruiting’ for GRA

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has arrested a middle-aged man for holding himself out as a recruiting agent for the nation’s tax-collecting body.

The man is said to take monies from his unsuspecting clients and assure them of employment at GRA.

But after sending him a WhatsApp and issuing a cheque for GH¢4,000 in an attempt to tease him, GRA successfully rounded him up on Monday.

He has since been put behind behind bars at the Ministry Police Station.

The Authority cautioned the public to be wary of such persons, indicating that it does not charge money at any point in its recruitment process.
