Man gives streetlights to Nyagbo-Sroe

Nyagbo-Sroe (V/R), Aug 25, GNA – Nyagbo-Sroe in the Hohoe District now enjoys streetlights as a result of the philanthropic gesture by one of its citizens who provided electicity at a cost of 10 million cedis. Mr Ebenezer Efodzi, a former Deputy Chief Executive (Finance and Administration) of the Ghana Cocoa Board, who is also the chairman of the Nyagbo-Sroe Youth Association, provided the lights and paid for their installation.

Mr Efodzi told the chiefs and people of the town during a brief handing over ceremony of the lighting system, that it was their collective responsibility to maintain and take good care of the project so as to serve their social needs.

He also appealed to the youth to engage in viable small-scale economic ventures to support their living conditions and avoid moving to the cities in search of non-existing jobs.

Mr Efodzi commended the people for their long cherished communal spirit to undertake the various developmental projects over the years without relying solely on the government, in view of the peculiar location of the town.
