Man Gets 2 To 10 Years For Rape

REXBURG, Idaho — Isaah A-Jalil Kappah, 21, of Ghana was sentenced Monday to two to 10 years in prison for the rape of a 17-year-old girl. Judge Greg Moeller retained jurisdiction in the case.

Madison County Prosecutor Sid Brown charged Kappah with the rape of a woman under the age of 16 and forcible sexual penetration by use of a foreign object, both felonies. The victim was acquainted with the man.

The incident occurred in Rexburg around 12:30 a.m. on June 1, 2011. Kappah was a Brigham Young University-Idaho student.
