A 49-year-old man, Mr. Richard Koranteng was on Friday morning found dead in a container at Amonko, a suburb of Tema Newtown.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Herbert Sosu, District Commander of Tema Newtown Police, said the deceased sleeps in a container used as a Depot to store bags of sachet water and believes that the wares fell on him whilst he was asleep on Thursday night.
According to ASP Sosu, the bags of water that fell on him might have suffocated koranteng, who was a security man with the Universal Utility Services Limited.
He disclosed that the owner of the container was the cousin of the deceased and that the deceased had been sleeping in the container until his untimely demise.
He said the corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the Tema General Hospital.
