Man found dead at Abelemkpe

A man believed to be about 30-years-old has been found dead on the Amanfro Street at Abelemkpe on Saturday morning.

The man’s body was discovered lying around a gutter naked with severe machete wounds and bleeding; making residents to cover the body with leaves.

An eyewitness at the scene believes the deceased was killed at dawn while everyone was asleep, and pulled from a different street to the current street where he was found this morning.

However, others are of the opinion that the deceased may have been an armed robber subjected to instant justice.

The Tesano Police Station, led by Chief Inspector Stephen Atsu, was at the scene to convey the mortal remains of the deceased to the morgue.

In recent times, incidence of mob justice has been on the increase with the Police Service repeatedly advising the general public to refrain from the act and let the law take its course.

Investigations are ongoing by the Tesano Police to uncover the true identity of the deceased and to find the cause of death.
