Man Eaten Alive by Tigers

A man who climbed into a cage holding two enormous Bengal tigers at a South African zoo in Port Elizabeth was ripped to shreds on Sunday morning. Police say the unidentified man appeared to have climbed a four-metre high fence into the shelter containing the six-year-old animals and they turned on him. His body was discovered when zookeepers went to feed the animals. The victim’s throat had been torn, his stomach was ripped open and one of his legs was severed. A blood trail indicated the man had desperately tried to escape from the giant cats. Police say they have no idea why the man climbed into the cage.
