Man drowns in River Ayensu

A twenty six year old man has drowned in River Ayensu near Anum Apapam, a farming community near Suhum .

The deceased was identified as Kwame Odei, popularly known as “Odor” and was among a group of youth illegally mining gold in the river.

According to police source, the deceased decided to take his bath before going home after close of work when he drowned.

The deceased has since been buried after post mortem examination at the Suhum Government Hospital. **
