Man caught with police cap jailed

A 24-year-old labourer caught with police cap has been sentenced to 24 months imprisonment by the Bibiani Magistrate Court, presided over by Mr Osei Kofi Amoako.

Ibrahim Adam, who faced additional charges of stealing, unlawful entry and causing unlawful damage, pleaded guilty.

Police Chief Inspector Michael Agbaglo told the court that the convict broke into the room of an electrician working with Noble Gold Mines, John Baidoo, at Kwamekrom near Bibiani on February 1 and escaped with his two bags of cement.

He reported the theft to the Police and investigations led to the arrest of Adams.

A search of his room uncovered the two stolen bags of cement and a police cap.
