Man carrying human head arrested at NPP rally

An unidentified man has been arrested by the Police at the Greater Accra campaign launch of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The man is alleged to have carried to the campaign grounds, a severed head of a lady.

He was nearly lynched by angry party supporters who saw him carrying the severed head in a polythene bag at the campaign grounds.

It took the intervention of the men and women in black uniform to rescue him.

Oman FM’s Kwabena Kwakye, who reported the incident live from the rally ground, Sunday, said the man was whisked to the Community 1 Police Station where he is currently assisting with investigations.

Party supporters, according to Kwakye, suspected the man was at the rally grounds to dump the severed head for people to suspect that the NPP carried a dead body to their campaign launch.
