Man beaten to pulp for assault

Residents at Adjeikrom a farming community in the Brong Ahafo region have reportedly beaten one Appiah Emmanuel a farmer to pulp after he allegedly attempted to butcher his wife.

According to the residents, Appiah Emmanuel has repeatedly assaulted his wife and had on one occasion slashed her ear, a situation which led to a divorce- but elders in the area intervened and called the man to order.

However, Appiah Emmanuel who the residents described as an abuser, wielding a cutlass Wednesday evening shouting “I will butcher her to death” was overpowered by an angry crowd and reportedly beaten to pulp.

Attea Solomon told Nyankonton Mu Nsem that, Appiah Emmanuel is currently on admission at the hospital due to the critical nature of his condition.
