Man attempts suicide

Apam(C/R), March 27, GNA – The Apam District Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday ordered that Kwame More, a 20 year old man, be sent to the Ankaful Psychiatric hospital for the determination of his mental status before he is be brought back to face an attempted suicide charge. The Magistrate, Mr Charles Wiafe gave the order when More, unemployed, was brought before him on a charge of attempting suicide. His plea was not taken and the court ordered him to reappear on April 28 2008. Police Chief Inspector Sampson Dziekpor of Gomoa Dawurampong told the court that around 1600 hours on March 19 this year, More attempt to hang himself in this mother’s kitchen at Gomoa Oguaa.
