Man arrested for murdering boy

Winneba Dec. 10, GNA – The Winneba police have arrested a 25-year-old-man, Seidu Sabitu, for murdering Abubakar Sadik, a primary one pupil of Church of Christ School in Winneba. The Winneba District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police Martin Asamoah, said on December 07 Sulemane Denjimah reported the loss of his nephew Sadik, to the police. The Commander said Mr Kassim Zubairu, a neighbour, claimed he saw the boy together with Sabitu in the afternoon. He said the complainant went with Mr Zubairu to confront the suspect on the loss of the boy.

Mr Asamoah said to the dismay of the neighbours, Sabitu boldly said he had “murdered the boy in a bush near the North Campus of the University of Education, Winneba” and then led them to the scene. He said the group arrested the suspect and handed him over to the police and during interrogation he confirmed murdering the boy with an iron bar. The suspect led the police to the murder scene and took it to the Winneba Government Hospital mortuary.
