Man arrested for car theft at Supreme Court

There was drama at the premises of the Supreme Court in Accra today as a yet to be identified middle-aged man attempted to steal one of the newly imported cars for judicial service workers.

The man, according to Starr News’ Court correspondent Wilberforce Asare, came to the premises of the court with a mechanic to break into one of the vehicles so he could drive away. Luck, however, eluded him as security officials at the court caught them in the act.

He has currently been handed over to the police for further investigations after he was briefly held by the court security.

Meanwhile, members of the judicial service have started sharing the cars among themselves hours after the incident.
