An 85-year-old man has been arrested in Kumasi in the Ashanti region with 193 parcels of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis.
Yaw Boateng has been ordered by a Kumasi Circuit Court to be held in prison custody.
The suspect has admitted ownership of the dried leaves and has pleaded guilty to the offence.
He would make his next court appearance on January 12, 2016.
Samples of the substance have also been sent for forensic laboratory test.
