Man, 35, allegedly hangs himself but police suspects.

Goaso (B/A), Dec. 3, GNA – The police at Mim have arrested some family members of a 35-year old farmer, Agya Osei, who allegedly hanged himself to death at Kwao Pretey, a farming community near Mim in Asunafo North Municipality of Brong Ahafo.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwasi Abrokwah told the Ghana News Agency on Thursday that the deceased was reported to have hanged himself near a public toilet in the town. He said a five-man police team, who were dispatched to the scene, suspected foul play mainly because of the circumstances that surrounded his death.

He said the deceased had a rope tightened around his neck but was found standing on his feet. DSP Abrokwah said the family members were picked up to assist in investigations. The body of the deceased had since been deposited at the government hospital in Goaso waiting autopsy.
