Man, 30, found dead on farm

Bekwai (Ash), Aug. 11, GNA – The Asante-Bekwai police is working hard to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of a 30-year-old cement dealer, whose body was found on an oil palm plantation near Asokwa, a suburb of Bekwai.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency at Bekwai on Thursday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kankam Boadu, the District Police Commander, said the police had information about the mystery death of Kwame Appiah at about 0630 hours on Tuesday, August 8.

He said, when the police went to the scene, the deceased had messed up his body with his own faeces and that no visible clues about his death were established on the scene.

DSP Boadu said, when the wife of the deceased was contacted, she revealed that the husband left home about 2000 hours and she kept wondering why he has not been home the whole night until news about his death came to her the following morning.

The body of Appiah had since been deposited at the Bekwai Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.
