Man, 28, butchered at Somanya

Henry Korboe Narh, a 28-year-old driver and native of Agormanor in the lower manya municipality of the Eastern region has been butchered by some unknown men.

Narrating the incident to Starrfmonline.com, Uncle of the victim, Emmanuel Angmor said at about 8:30 am Tuesday, his nephew was asleep when the youngmen numbering about eight with machetes, guns and metals knocked on his door and started attacking the victim without any provocation.

“What happened was that the previous night, a relative who had visited us was returning to Kumasi when she was attacked by a young man who made away with her valuables, after shouting for help, the victim, Henry, together with his friends apprehended the robber who escaped while being transported to the Police station.

“I strongly believe the young men were contracted by the robber in revenge of the action of the victim and his friends. The people came straight to the house to ask of my nephew and right after, they started slashing him with the machetes,” Emmanuel lamented.

The victim who sustained various degrees of injuries at the back, head and ears is currently on admission at the St. Martins De Porres Hospital in Somanya.

The incident has been reported to the Odumase police who have mounted a manhunt for the perpetrators.
