Man, 27, beats wife to death in the Central region

Police in Assin Fosu are on the heels of one Kojo Joseph for allegedly beating his wife to death at Assin Atintan in the Assin North district of the Central region.

The Assin Fosu Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Eric Batchor, who confirmed the incident to Starr News’ Central regional Correspondent Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour said the accused, aged 27,  is alleged to have assaulted the lady some days ago leaving the woman with severe pains which resulted in her death at the Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Fosu.

According to him, the deceased Faustina Appiah, alias Ama Atta,  aged 24,  is said to have demanded money from the suspect who had consistently denied her money even though she had seen money on his  mobile money account.

The victim who was not happy with her husband’s action confronted him for money for the upkeep of the house but the she was subjected to severe beating leading to her admission at the hospital and subsequently her death. The suspect  has since being on the run.
