Mamprusi chiefs commend government for creating new district

Wungu (N/R), Feb. 7, GNA – The Paramount Chief of the Wungu Traditional Area in the West Mamprusi District of the Northern Region, Wunaba Naa Zori Saaka Sulemana has expressed appreciation to the Government for creating the Mamprugu-Moaduri District, with headquarters at Yagaba which, he said, would accelerate the development of the area.

He noted that the new district, which had been carved out of the West Mamprusi District, would open up the “oversea” area, about 90 per cent of which falls within the Wungu paramountcy, and bring a marked improvement in the lives of the people.
