Mampong Municipality recorded 20,321 in the First phase of Biometric Registration

Mampong Municipality recorded 20,321 voters at the end of the first phase in the Biometric Registration exercise in 26 centres.

T.I. Ahamadiyya Registration Centre at Mampong recorded 1,696 the highest whilst M.A JHS at Nwoase recorded 201, the lowest.

Mr Frank Okraku, the Municipal Electoral Officer, in an interview with Ghana news Agency, mentioned faulty generators, printing errors and faulty pen drives as the major problems they experienced during the first phase.

He gave the assurance that the hitches encountered in the first phase of the exercise would not be seen in the second phase.

Mampong Municipality has a total of 98 Registration Centres.**
