A recent study on immorality and promiscuity at the basic school level carried out by World Education, an NGO has disclosed that over 62% of JSS students in Accra are sexually active. The study confirmed that about 10% of JSS male teachers had engaged in sex with some of their female students.
Whilst some of the male teachers blamed their colleagues for lack of ethics and indiscipline, some also attributed the problem to the high level of promiscuity among female students in recent times. In an interaction with some of the female students they affirmed the fact that some of their friends have 2 or more sex partners.
What some students described unhealthy and high unethical is how some of the male teachers fondle with some of the students during school hours. They however blamed some of their colleagues for enticing the teachers with their deeds.
