Makola Market Destroyed By Fire

Fire swept through stalls at Makola market in Accra destroying property worth billions of cedis. The fire, according to eyewitnesses started after 6.30 pm in the middle of TS, reputed to be the most popular used clothing market in Ghana. The market also houses tailors, dressmakers and designers of Joromi and embroidery. By 9pm, their goods, machines, tables, sheds and other effects have been consumed by the fire.
