Make welfare of church members priority – Clergy

Reverend Prophet Prince Kofi Okyere, President of Faith Anointing International Ministry, has called on Ghanaians to consider the task of nation building and development as the responsibility of all.

He noted that every citizen is important and has a role to play in the national development agenda.

Rev Okyere made the call at Pastors Appreciation Day of the church at Pantang-Abokobi, near Madina in the Greater Accra Region.

He said as the world is entering the second half of the year, there is the need for Ghanaians to pray to God for His mercy to shine upon the country.

Rev Okyere charged religious leaders to desist from actions which may tarnish the image of the clergy.

He advised them to let the welfare of their members be their concern and offer support where necessary.

Rev Okyere took the opportunity to appeal to Ghana Football Association to ensure that there is discipline among the national soccer team- the Black Stars, saying that the exit of the team from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil was due to indiscipline on the part of the players.
