Make the school environment friendly to the child – Bossman-Ammah

Mrs. Esther Bossman-Ammah, the Municipal Education Director for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, has called for all to work together to make the school environment child-friendly.

There should be adequate space for effective academic work, teaching and learning materials, more relaxed and less intimidating atmosphere.

She was speaking at a speech and prize-giving day of the Anoff M/A basic school at Anoff near Nsawam.

Mrs. Bossman-Ammah spoke of the need for parents to provide the children with their basic school needs to retain them.

They should also regularly visit the schools to check on how they were performing and to spend quality time with them in the home.

Madam Doreen D. Buobi, a Deputy District Coordinating Director, gave the assurance that the assembly would continue to invest in education development – to promote access and quality.

Madam Dora Ayesu, the head teacher, appealed for the construction of an information and communication technology (ICT) centre and a library.

She used the occasion to counsel parents to avoid frivolous spending to save money to support their children’s education.
