Make education the hub for our development – GNAT

The New Juaben Municipal Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers, Mr George Aboagye, has called on government to ensure that education becomes the hub of the development of the country.

He said in past political campaigns, education and the role of teachers had always taken center stage in the campaigns and now it is time for the government to implement policies that would motivate teachers to do their best and the education sector to take a center stage in the development of the country.

Mr Aboagye was speaking to the Ghana News Agency on Monday on his New Year Message to teachers in the Municipality at Koforidua.

He congratulated teachers in the New Juaben Municipality for their hard work under very trying conditions over the previous years and urged them to develop the self motivation spirit to face new challenges in the coming year.

Mr Aboagye expressed the hope that the new year would bring new opportunities for teachers and policies that would encourage all stakeholders in education to contribute their quota to help improve the teaching and learning environment in the Municipality.

He wished all teachers, stakeholders in education land the government a happy new year.
