Make Alan-K your running mate – Akufo-Addo urged

Accra, Feb. 25, GNA – A traditional ruler in the Volta Region on Monday appealed to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to make Mr Alan Kyerematen, who lost in the primaries, his running mate to help him win the election. A statement signed by Togbe Kofi Adzanku, Zikpitor of Akoefe Traditional area, said Mr Kyerematen’s style cut across religious, tribal and regional boundaries and he is the most popular person in the NPP.

He said if Mr Kyerematen is made the running mate, he could sweep about 25 per cent of floating and undecided votes and his personality could also win majority of votes of both the youth and women. Togbe Adzanku urged Nana Akufo-Addo not to underrate the possibility of a political marriage between the CPP and the NDC saying, “Don’t forget how a ‘desperate man’ (party) behaves. Join forces with your junior brother Alan-K.”

“NPP polling station executives and the about one million faithful foot soldiers will praise you for making their work when you give them Alan-K to assist you at the Flagstaff House,” he said.
