During the solemn service, the mother of the Captain sat beside the Captain’s wife and was seen consoling her.
The family of the deceased Major has set June 9, 2017 as the date for the final funeral rites of their son. He will be buried at the Military cemetary in Accra.
A Thanksgiving service for the fallen soldier would be held on June 11. There have been landmark developments after the death of the Captain who had been stationed in Denkyira-Obuasi to ward off activities of galamsey operators.
Major arrests have been made and suspects have been arraigned before court.
