Major events in 2005

Accra, Dec. 31, GNA – Ghana deepened her multi-party democratic journey when President John Agyekum Kufuor began his second four-year term on January 7, 2005 and promised a better life for Ghanaians. Ghana also had good news when it won debt cancellation from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and African Development Fund, which would relieve it of more than four billion dollars.
