Maintain spirit of divinity for effective national growth

Winneba, April 13, GNA – The Founder and Leader of the Power of Christ Ministry International Church, the Reverend Samuel Ayisi Larbie, has advised Ghanaians, particularly teachers, to cultivate and maintain the spirit of divinity through out their lives.

This, he said, would guarantee a lasting faith in Christ and pave the way for them to make meaningful contributions towards nation building. Apostle Larbie was addressing members of the church on Easter Monday as part of activities to round off the Easter festivities. He attributed the numerous social and economic challenges facing the citizenry and the nation in general to the inability of Ghanaians to allow the will of God to permeate in their day to day activities. Apostle Larbie expressed regret that even though millions of Christians in the country attended annual conventions and other prayer meetings only a handful of them usually got their desires fulfilled. The reason, he said, was that majority of the people who professed to be Christians were only listeners of the word of God but lacked the faith and the will to practice what the bible teaches. He reminded Ghanaians that the mercies and blessings of the Almighty God still remained uncountable, adding, “if we want to access these divine blessings then we must be prepared to as a nation to do things which pleases God all the time.”

This simply means that we have to shun cheating, back-biting, corruption, litigation of all forms, which retards progress and forge ahead in unity for national development, he added. The Rev. Larbie charged Ghanaians to do away completely with partisan sentiments now that a new government had taken over the administration of the country and endeavour to develop a new and vibrant sense of nationalism and commitment for the attainment of a better Ghana for all. He appealed to workers to rededicate themselves for the aspirations of their respective establishments and also pray for the nation for a lasting peace, unity and economic growth. 13 April 09
