Mahama’s performance poor – Samia

An aspiring presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Samia Nkrumah, has rubbished the achievements of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), rating the Mahama administration’s performance as poor.

“I will rate it poorly, it is nothing personal. It is the economic policies that are not working. They have been poor, it is not the NDC or NPP, alone; it is the whole way of thinking about how to manage this country,” she said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii S?n political talk show Wednesday December 30, 2015.

The daughter of the first president of Ghana articulated that “it is a fact that we have abandoned the only thing that has worked – the CPP project”.

The former chairperson of the CPP holds the view that the answer to Ghana’s current challenges is enshrined in the seven-year development plan instituted by the CPP in the ’60s and ’70s.

According to her, the implementation of the plan to suit modern trends will develop the country and thus charged Ghanaians to vote for the CPP into power in the 2016 general elections.

“Let us go back to it and we will see the difference. Let us go back to our seven-year development plan and adapt,” the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Jomoro in the Western Region entreated the public.
