President John Dramani Mahama has wished “our hardworking, loving fathers” a happy Fathers’ Day. Sunday, June 19 is being celebrated across the globe as Fathers’ Day.
In a tweet “on behalf of Ghanaians”, President Mahama sent his well-wishes to all Ghanaian fathers.
In an immediate tweet after that, the president, who lost his mother over the week – on Tuesday, June 14 to be precise – shared fond memories of his father, describing him as “my best friend, my advisor, my corner man”.
“The best father in the world,” he tweeted on Sunday, June 19.
