Mahama’s critics will praise him in 2016 – Allotey Jacobs

It is only a fool who does not change his mind, says the Central Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Bernard Allotey Jacobs.

Allotey Jacobs last year described the Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper as the ‘Judas’ in the NDC who is gradually leading the party to opposition. He made this comment at a time when the cedi was fast depreciating against the dollar, and the economy was moving from bad to worst. Allotey Jacobs subsequently asked President John Dramani Mahama to sack Seth Terkper because he was not working as expected.

However, in a sharp turn-around during a panel discussion on PEACE FM Morning Show ‘Kokrokoo’, Allotey Jacobs described Seth Terkper as a ‘special assistant to God’.

According to him, he has done so well in stabilising the cedi.

“I used to say Seth Terkper is a ‘Judas’ in the NDC, and I was misconstrued at that time… But Seth Terkper is now a special assistant to God. He has done well in stabilising the cedi…it is only a fool who does not change his mind,” he intimated.

Commenting on the performance of the Mahama-led administration in general, Allotey Jacobs said, “those who are ‘criticizing and crucifying’ President John Dramani Mahama will praise him in 2016.”

The achievement of the Mahama-led administration he said are so many that Ghanaians will not think twice voting for him again.

“Never in the history of this country has any government invested more than $300 in infrastructural development in the central region…all those who are criticising and crucifying President John Dramani Mahama will praise him in 2016,” he added.
