Mahama’s 6-day Eastern Regional tour to boost NDC’s Agenda 50/50

President John Dramani Mahama will commence a six-day tour of the Eastern Region today.

The president and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is scheduled to begin the tour with the inauguration of the Takorasi Community Day Senior High School.

He will also meet and interact with the chiefs and people of Kade and Asamankese, respectively.

A statement from the spokesperson for the John Mahama 2016 Campaign, Mrs Joyce Bawah-Mogtari said: “The Eastern Region has had its fair share of significant developments in the first term of President John Dramani Mahama’s government and his tour of the region is expected to boost the ‘Agenda 50/50’.”

The party is seeking to split the votes with the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), which has received strong followership in the region over the years.

The statement also said Mr Mahama’s campaign tours had so far received “massive support from the chiefs and people of the six regions toured”, adding: “It is evident that President John Dramani Mahama is changing lives and transforming Ghana.”
