Mahama will not be vetted – NDC officials

President John Dramani Mahama will not go through the rigorous process of being questioned by executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over his ambition to lead the umbrella family as their flagbearer for a second time, inside sources have told Kasapafmonline.com.

The President having submitted his nomination forms on Monday to signify his readiness to contest for the flagbearership position when the party goes to the polls on November 7, 2015, is expected to go through vetting after the closure of nominations on September 10, 2015.

However, bigwigs in the party say there will be no need to vet the President having “exhibited good leadership both at the international and local levels”.

That aside, no credible person within the party has come up to contest the President, our sources argue.

Party officials say the President will be acclaimed at a date yet to be determined by the party.
