Mahama will lose 2016 election – Maurice Ampaw

The president and Founder of the Legal Advocacy Foundation, Lawyer Maurice Kwabena Ampaw has predicted that the sitting president, John Dramani Mahama will lose this year’s general election.

Maurice Ampaw in an interview with Amanda Jissih on Gh One TV’s E-Talk entertainment show disclosed that he would not quit practicing as a lawyer for a year as he said because “Mahama is going to lose the election”.

He was reported to have said that he will cease practice for a year as part of his protest against the remission of the Montie 3.

The celebrity lawyer added that he will also campaign against the president and his party to make sure they do not retain power due to the remission of the Montie trio.

Responding to why he is on hunger strike after release of the Montie 3, he said, “I decided to do that looking at president taking the step that I thought its a decision that affects the judiciary and its going to affect my profession. You know I’m a stakeholder. If you run the judiciary down and expose them to public hatred and contempt, its going to affect the confidence that the ordinary person has in the judiciary. I put the president on notice that if he takes any step to release the Montie trio, I’m going to do two things. That’s I’ll go on hunger strike and also campaign against him.”
