Mahama was harbouring criminals at Flagstaff House – Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has accused former President John Dramani Mahama of harbouring criminals at the Flagstaff while in office.

According to him, the former President has no moral right to speak to issues about the conduct of Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, George Ayisi Boateng.

“What is John Mahama and NDC saying about Ayisi Boateng?” the outspoken Deputy General Secretary quizzed on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show hosted by Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.

According to Nana Obiri Boahen, President John Mahama while in office appointed people like Stan Dogbe and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah as presidential staffers after they were indicted of corrupt practices

Former President John Mahama over the weekend at the party’s Unity Walk in Cape Coast took a swipe at President Akufo-Addo calling him to sack Mr. George Ayisi Boateng from office as Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa over his divisive statements.

Speaking to the former President’s calls on Nhyira FM Monday, Nana Obiri Boahen admonished Mr. John Mahama to refrain from commenting on public issues.

“I will want him to use such opportunities to talk about AMERI and Cocoa Board matters. …what is John Mahama talking about?” Nana Obiri Boahen fumed in a telephone interview.
