President John Dramani Mahama will storm Western Region to begin the 1st Phase of the ruling National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) campaign tour moments after the party’s campaign launch in the ancient coastal city of Cape Coast in the Central Region.
The tour which will kick-start on Monday, August 15, 2016 will see the President visit sixteen (16) communities in the natural resources dominated region.
Among the constituencies President Mahama would be touring are Amenfi Central, Amenfi East, Prestea-Huni-Valley, Tarkwa, Evalue Ajomoro Gwira, Ellembele, Jomoro and Ahanta West.
The rest are Takoradi, Effia, Mpohor, Kwasimintsim, Esikado Ketan, Shama, Wassa East and Sekondi.
Inside sources say President Mahama will have his final rally in the harbor city of Takoradi before returning to Accra.
The NDC is currently on preparations towards its campaign launch in Cape Coast on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
Meanwhile, the 2016 presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo who is also campaigning in the region will bring his 5 days activities to a close on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
