Mahama to give mum’s funeral donations to Cardiothoracic Centre

President John Dramani Mahama is to give all funeral donations of his late mother Hajia Abiba Nnaba to the National Cardiothoracic Centre in Accra.

A statement from the presidency on Tuesday said the funeral which was originally scheduled to take place in Bole – the hometown of the president – will now be held at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.

It is expected to take place on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 1pm, the statement added.

It said: “The dress code for the funeral is black and white.” Some African heads of state are expected to attend the funeral.

Hajia Nnaba died on June 15 following a short ailment and was laid to rest according to Islamic custom two days after in her hometown, Busunu in the West Gonja District of the Northern region.
