Mahama not campaigning; bidding us farewell in E/R – NPP

The first Vice Chair of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern region, Alhaji Omar Bodinga, says President Mahama is currently in the Eastern region to bid electorates farewell because he will no longer return to the Flagstaff House after the 2016 general elections.

President Mahama who is seeking a second term in office is in the region for a five day campaign tour.

He is expected to tour more than 24 constituencies and introduce the various National Democratic congress (NDC) parliamentary candidates to residents.

President Mahama has underscored the need for residents in the region to massively vote for him because he has achieved a lot under his administration.

However, Alhaji Omar Bodinga, speaking in an interview with Kwabena Agyapong on Eboboba on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm said, the president is not campaigning as the party announced but bidding residents in the region farewell from the presidency.

According to him, there is nothing in the region to show for the stewardship of President Mahama. He described President Mahama as incompetent and a leader who lacks vision.

He alleged further that, parliamentary candidates of the NDC in the Eastern region, are campaigning against President Mahama because of his abysmal performance and incompetence.

He said, President Mahama has been deceived by his party executives in the region because the grounds are not solid for the party as they make people believe. Alhaji Omar Bodinga expressed strong optimism that the NPP will win the polls with a wide margin and further win 30 seats in the region.

Mahama has so far campaigned campaigned in the Western, Central and the Greater Accra Regions.
