Mahama leads Commonwealth observer team to Kenya

Ex-president John Dramani Mahama is expected to lead a 15-member Commonwealth Observer Group to monitor and provide assessment on the elections in Kenya on August 8, 2017.

This was contained in a release from Special Aide of the former president, Mrs Joyce Bawa Mogtari on Friday, July 28.

The release added that Mr Mahama will arrive in Nairobi a week before the election.

The former Ghanaian leader will be involved in multiple meetings with the various political parties and their candidates ahead of the polls.

This will be the fifth election in the East African country since 1991 when it ended its one party state rule.
