Mahama joins worshipers in Bole to celebrate Easter

President John Dramani Mahama has joined hundreds of worshipers at the Martyrs of Uganda at Bole in the Northern region, to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Giving his Easter message, President Mahama called on Ghanaians to continue to be optimistic about the prospects of the nation.

He noted that it is through optimism and hard work that more opportunities will be opened for all.

Radio Ghana’s Correspondent, Sualah Abdul-Wahab reports that accompanying the president to the church service were two of his children, the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, Saaka Akate, and former CEO of SADA, Alhaji Gilbert Iddi.

President Mahama said the resurrection of Christ should be seen as a victory for mankind.

The Parish Youth Chaplain, Rev. Father David Bakari, said Ghanaians should put the nation first and avoid partisan politics which does not help the nation.

He called on women who play motherly roles to inculcate in children good moral values so that they can become true followers of Christ when they grow.
