Mahama is the best presidential material we have for 2020 – Kofi Adams

The National Oganizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has categorically stated that, former President Mahama is the NDC’s surest bid for 2020 election.

According to him, the only thing that will make him a happy man is if President Mahama puts himself up to contest on the ticket of the NDC for 2020.

“President Mahama in today’s NDC is the best material we have. The fact that we lost the election doesn’t mean that he was a bad candidate, we have had great candidates loose elections”, he told host of Citi FM’s Eye Witness News.

He also added that, Former President Mahama’s primary focus is to re-build the NDC party to re-capture power from President Akufo-Addo and the NPP.

Mr Adams who did not admit assertions that his own inexperience as the National Organizer aided sending the NDC into opposition revealed that, quality analyses coming from the NDC proves that the NPP did not beat the NDC by some one million votes as announced by the Electoral Commission.

Kofi Adams in his submission blamed President Akufo-Addo for acts of vandalism and seizures among irate NPP supporters.

“What is happening is not lawful and it’s being justified by some NPP leaders, I entirely blame president Nana Addo for all that. Especially when we know that these are forces he used when he was in opposition, the Invincible Forces know Akufo-Addo, and he gives them orders against other people in the NPP. The NDC has buried two of its members due to post elections violence”, he cried.

Some angry youth reported to be members of the NPP went on rampage Monday locking and completely taking over some state institutions.

They say they are exacting retribution for what they suffered in the hands of supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) when it won power in the 2008 elections.
